I hope his task will end soon. Months of workload stretch our time together. In the end, I will left unattended and jumping alone. God,,,I’m now utilizing the empty time for this, fortunately.
Then when i decided to visit my blog again crapping sumthing happened, present n ought to happen. what then?
Long since last i mentioned went swimming with Kathy during my old time. It never will ever end. Till now I cant stop dumping my ass in a pool. Any where!
But duh, Bangsar pool will be my last resort. Though it’s just a stone throw, i prefer Shah Alam one.
Bangsar pool located near to Telawi road, surrounded by housing area n it’s not as presentable as how Bangsar present their place. It’s small, might be half of Olympic size n u can’t swim properly as visitors are here and there swimming. Dush dush! Then u have to "kona kona" abit while swimming.lol.
My fav spot now is Cheras Tun Razak swimming pool as Shah Alam is now far. Dun call me on Saturday evening, I’ll be there. I find it’s deep than Shah Alam Matsushita pool n oke lah! Olympic size, so deep that u can even dive, it invites lots of resident as well; kids, uncle, aunties, which i give a thumb down. Anyways, It’s has been in my list for months, as it’s just a few kilometres from my door. Let’s swim!!

Yes, im alive.
im not leaving, im just a pinch away from colourful life to a fader one.
not really fade, kind of.
Kind of-when i promote myself stepping into one different zone, and they greet me "Welcome to the real world!",,with smile, laugh n some so and so. Oh God, is it? Felt the nerve, yes.

Measuring the Effect of Education Spending, Health Investment and Inflation Rate to the Malaysian Economic Growth

yesterday, my viva was ok, good,, =)

this is my instant summary. no table, scatter plot whatsoever

my multiple regression equation
GDP= 56.744 + 0.012Edu + 0.021Hea - 1.118Inf

Interpretation of Independent Variables
Edu= Increase in RM1 million of Education Spending will increase Total GDP by RM0.012 mill annually
HeaInv= Increase in RM1 mil of Health Investment will result to an annual increase in TGDP by RM0.021 mil
Inflation rate= Increase in 1% of inflation rate will diminish yearly TGDP by RM1.118 mil

Coefficient of determination
r2= 95.2%
95.2% of the variation of dependent variable; total GDP can be explained by the regression model, all independent variables; EduSpdg, HeaInv, Inflation rate. The remaining 4.8% of the variation is essentially random and cannot be explained regarding a few omission of some other variables.

Correlation Coefficients
correlation coefficients= strong positive correlation for EduSpending= +0.975 HeaInv=+0.974 however, Inflation rate = -0.415; negative correlation
Hypothesis Testing
number of observation, n= 20 covering period of 1988-2007 (puas selak bnm report yg berabuk di ptar2)
number of independent variables,k= 3
degree of freedom, n-k-1=16
critical t-value = 1.746 ( refer to statistical table)

for t-test all individual independent variables are not significant,, t-value less than t-critival value

my f-test shows that all independent var as a group is sig with TGDP

fstat; 105.810 more than f-critical value;3.24 thus I reject null hypothesis

Multiple Regression Problem
i've big multicollinearity problem
VIF value is > 5, ive high coefficient correlation between EDU and HEa; as both are government spending; the redundant variables i realized, r2 is high, and low significant level

i've autocorrelation problem but i add 1 omitted variable
- Malaysia Population in Million (it represents Consumptions), as GDP= G+I+C+x- M
then my Durbin Watson value is higher than dLower value so no positive serial correlation exist anymore

Conclusion;
i. The education spending, health investment and inflation rate are affecting the Malaysian economic growth
ii.There are correct sign of coefficient for all IV to the DV supported by previous research.
iii. Among the 3 IV, inflation rate among not sig as the t-value is lowest n farthest from t-critical value

Recommendation
I would like future researchers to;
i. Increase sample size to 30 - most favourable to reduce the insignificant level of study
ii. Add other omitted var- consider unemployment rate, exchange rate or export growth rate
iii. Drop redundant var- edu and heainv are both govt spending

Global Financial Crisis

Certainly, it will be not any investment advices nor the decisions of hunting for jobs in Malaysia or elsewhere =p. It's just the current overview of real situations that are affecting the global economy and may as well picture how the real jobless or unemployment situation may also be impacted, mostly in US. A read through the real circumstances of global financial crisis was worth it. it thought on the causes, culprits, consequences and actions on facing the crisis in many ways. but certainly, the main way they are talking about is the bailout thing. The amount of USD700 billion collected from taxpayers will be bailed out for the redevelopment of among the largest and biggest firms in US, that are collapsing(is that the real word? huu) now.

US Financial crisis is also identified as;

financial catastrophe (wikipedia;disaster, horrible event)
financial meltdown
financial distress
financial turmoil
financial slump
economy in crisis
US is suffering from heart attack (heart attack is serious,, it usually ends to,,? huhu)

The meltdown of the respectful economy US (satu ketika dulu, even skarang, oleh org2 yg tak au) caused from subprime mortgage loan crisis. Mainly, it caused by the basic of economics, people, human being are completed with limited resources but unlimited wants. People still want to have something eventhough they are unafford to pay it. In smaller context, u borrow some money from ur friends, to buy a watch, or handbag, for example.

Initially, im confuse in understanding the whole mechanism of the crisis, (as US creates it to be so complicated, with their new financial system and being so capitalist)
yet, i'll try to state in a direct way; the subprime mortgage loan involves loan given by banks(US) to borrowers (who don't really afford to pay back-mean, have less ideal credit record) to buy or own a property(home). This borrowers use the loan to purchase home,cars, living expences, remodeling a home, or even pay their high interest credit card.

In order to generate the US economy; especially in property industry, bank gives out loan to people(borrowers)
Lenders come from financial, investment or insurance institutions that have funds to fund the borrowers.

Until one time, the borrowers are unable to pay the loan( caused of the less ideal credit record n other things-high interest rate or other living expenses).
If the borrowers are unafford to pay, bank will foreclose(lelong) the property and sell to 3rd party(this creates to other instruments such as debt instruments, etc.)

When the property market bust, beginning in 2005-2006. It also happenned together with the declining in lending standards, increase in loan incentives, rising housing prices that encouraged borrowers to assume difficult mortgages( they believed that they would be able to quickly refinance the properties)

Interest rate began to rise n housing prices started to drop,,,(2006-2007) lead to a difficulty in refinancing the mortgage(property).

More defaults and foreclosure activities that also caused to lower prices of home. Just imagine, during 2007, nearly 1.3 million US housing properties were subject to foreclosure.

Generally, when banks were unable to collect money from the borrowers, the 3rd party would be affected. 3rd parties are financial institution who provide pools of funds and invest on buying bonds from banks. Banks failed to control the money inflows and outflows. There are not enough money in the banking system and this affect the mechanism between bank and lenders.
They(US) are in great debt. They owes USD14 trillion to the world (no more great economy of US-especially being capitalist)

US stock market decline that will slightly or certainly affected our stock market and enterpreneurs.

Citibank, the largest bank in US losses USD11 billion, at the end of 2007,, Imagine if our nation biggest banks; Maybank n CIMB for example collapse, how does it affects the economics circumstances? huu

Fannie Mae and Fraddie Mac, the two biggest lending mortgage institutions suffer heavy losses.

Lehman Brothers, the biggest brokerage firm in US declares bankruptcy.

Merill Lych, finance and brokerage firm suffer heavy losses and are taken over by Bank of America by USD 30 billion.

American Insurance Group (AIG) experices serious financial problem and was bailed out by US government by USD 85 billion.

Washington Mutual suffer losses and sold to JP Morgan for USD 1.9 billion.

If you have money, YOU are afford to buy any shares in US which are now CHEAP,, huhu. if ada duit raya+ duit gaji parttime sket2 tak cukup lagi kot,,

Even Pak Arabs now are entering US and buy tons of US shares. If they want to buy Florida, LA, etc. maybe they can,,

overall EPU was oke. It broadens our mind on the real roles of EPU and govt towards achieving the v2020.we then knew that government is devided into public sectors and politics. Thus, any agenda and issues will be brought to both sides to decide. EPU will advise the govt side on the right way to spend in developing the nation. However it then back to govt on how they manage the flows and moves.

World is facing a global increase in price of oil. Most of the countries are suffering from this price struck as it drives inflation to increase together with a dramatically reduction in gross domestic income. This is due to an expansion growth of demand for oil in certain industrial countries such as China and India. Currently, global demand for oil grows at the average of 86.1 million barrels per day. In addition, a few economic analysts said that there are supply disruptions in some producing countries due to political instabilities together with lack of oil reserves.

Another factor that leads to the instability in world price of oil is the depreciation of US dollar which affects most of other countries’ currencies. In conjunction to that, US have spent a lot of their revenue in military campaign. They try to conquer the other nations that are mostly from Middle East Asia with a gigantic oil reserves. From this they aim to capture all resources and gain a big benefit from that. With this attempt they loss a big amount of revenue in supporting the army regardless any economic performances.

Our country’s most powerful contributor in oil refinery industry is PETRONAS which has provided the nation with a big amount of revenue in this in field. PETRONAS Group profits for the period of half year end is RM67.6 billion which represents 63.1% to government while 29.2% of its profits was for reinvestment and balance 7.7% was used to pay foreign taxes and minority interest. This Group ensures a good operation in reinvestment as to sustain the growth to generate value for its stakeholders. The cumulative amount that PETRONAS has paid to government is RM403 billion since in cooperation in 1974.

The Rm67.6 billion payment for the year, RM 62.8 billion was paid to the Federal Government with RM30 billion dividend which comprises a RM6 billion special dividend, RM 20.6 billion in the form petroleum income tax, RM 5.4 billion in corporate income tax, RM 2.1 billion in export duties and RM4.7 billion of royalty payment. The state government of Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak were paid a total of RM 4.8 billion as royalty payment. This RM 67.6 billion payment paid to Federal Government represents 44% of the Federal Government’s revenue.

PETRONAS Group’s performance is a reflection of its ability to efficiently generate returns and profits that now it has become the major player in the oil refinery industry. The success is contributed from the overall strategy, value adding and globalization. Besides, PETRONAS emphases on operational efficiency of its operations that can still grow with the higher price of oil. Higher prices would not bring any benefit to the Group without its reliable operation.

Back to the question, we completely agree that government should reduce the price of oil with the increase in income of PETRONAS. After several discussions, we come out with the ideas that there are actually a lot of reasons why government should reduce price of oil in the nation. The very first reason it our major oil company, PETRONAS has gain a huge number of profit. Secondly, Malaysian government has collected a lot of taxes from its nations in terms of incomes tax and business tax that all together accumulated to the government revenue. Furthermore, we already gain a huge profit by producing the best quality of oil in the world compared to other oil producer countries. Besides that, by a reduction in price of oil government can help to generate the economic growth in nation.

PETRONAS HUGE NUMBER OF PROFIT

This is because we know that with the amount that revenue paid to government, only government can decide what way to use the revenue and how to help the growing of economy and taking care of the citizens’ welfare.
TAXES AS REVENUE FOR GOVERNMENT
With a rapid development in business and industrial sectors, we believe that government has collected a big number of taxes from the citizens in terms of incomes tax, business tax, tolls, tariff, property tax, consumption tax and transfer tax that have become the revenue to the government. Besides, we are sure even without the contribution of PETRONAS, government has already gain a huge amount of income as revenue from collecting the taxes.
Thus, Malaysian government is believed to be able to support the nation by reducing the price of oil with the expense of government revenue. We recommended that with this amount of revenue, government is able to help the welfare of nations by reducing the price of oil. This is in terms of subsidizing the price of oil so that the nation will encounter any problem of increase in price of other goods.
Besides, with this revenue, government can help the business firms individuals by reducing the tax rate imposed to them. The higher rate of tax has become a burden to most of business institution if it comes with the increase in price of oil. We are very sure that government can actually accommodate us with a little reduction to price of oil.

QUALITY OIL EXPORTING COUNTRY
Malaysia is one of the major oil exporting country in the world besides Saudi Arabia and Iraq for example. Compared to other oil exporting country, Malaysia are producing and exporting quality oil. With a huge number of exports of oil, Malaysia generates a higher income. Based on the PETRONAS overview, it recorded that the Group gain RM67.6 billion for the 2nd quarter of 2008. So we believed that the government shouldn’t increase a price of oil due to an increase of PETRONAS profit.
With an increased of the of PETRONAS profit, government is able to reduce the price of oil. With the large amount of profit, they can cover up the huge increase of oil prices in global market. Currently Malaysian has to pay RM2.70 for 1 liter of oil instead of RM1.92 previously. Thus these 40% of increase has burden the society especially for those poor income level people. These people might be thinking that government has less taking care of their welfare. With RM67.6 billion amount of profit, it sounds reasonable for the government not to increase a price of oil.
As one of the major oil quality producer, we shouldn’t depending on the global oil market. Malaysia should collaborate with the other oil-exporting countries in order to determine the global price of oil. It might sound ridiculous, but then we got an authority to do so because we are producing and supplying an oil even though we‘re relying on the US dollar. So, in concluding this point, we are absolutely agree that government shouldn’t increase a price of oil due to the increased of PETRONAS profit.

GENERATE THE ECONOMIC GROWTH

Eonomic growth has a significant relationship with the increasing of oil prices. Any increasing in price of oil will affect the GDP growth. This is because any increase in the price of oil will lead to increase in price of other goods and services. Higher price of other goods will burden the business firms in terms of cost of production, transportation cost, and services. This will cause a contraction of business performance in our nation

If government reduces the price of oil, this will avert any increase in price of other goods and services. Peoples have a higher purchasing power in buying any good and services available in the market. Thus, it will generate the profit of business firms which will help to generate the economic growth. Regarding to this, lower cost of production will help to expand the business performance.

With the higher economic growth, it will strengthen the Ringgit Malaysia currency that will influence the growth of Foreign Direct Investment in Malaysia. Our current inflation rates are expected to increase over 7% which is the highest over 26 years. Reduction in oil prices that will lead to economic growth is able to reduce the inflation rate.

CONCLUSION
In our point of view, we are totally agree that government should reduce the price of oil with the increase in income of PETRONAS. This is due to some points that are very relevant to support our decision. Increase in income of PETRONAS is a platform for government to reduce the price of oil in Malaysia. Government should actually not to manipulate the revenue given by PETRONAS for their own purposes. With RM67.6 billion profit of PETRONAS, there still can cover up with an increase pattern of price of oil in the global market.

The article discusses on the forecasted 2008 vehicle sales of 510,000 units by Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA). This targeted sale is estimated to achieve despite a weaker sales outlook in the second half of the year. The president, Datuk Aishah Ahmad explained that sales volume increase from January to June with 277,973 units compared with 220, 739 units in the first half of 2007. She expected the sale to decline in the second half however with the strong growth in the first half, they maintained the forecast. Furthermore, most people were purchasing fuel-efficiency vehicles and downgrading to cheaper cars as fuel price increase currently. Most of the car distributors admit a decrease in sales after the fuel price hike but increase in sales for fuel-efficient vehicles. A total sale on June was 2.2% more than May although the increase was cause of deliveries to fulfill back orders. Sales of commercial vehicles include pick-up trucks are slowing down with 16.5% as the response to higher fuel consumption.
Opinion:
Higher fuel price announced recently has brought to a lot of trouble and frequent adjustments towards major industries. The car market is one of the affected industry that suffer from this problem as people are saving their money for other beneficial stuff instead of purchasing a vehicle. The sales of vehicles such as car, and other commercial vehicles like pick-up trucks are decreasing dramatically together with increase in price.
However, this are not experienced by fuel efficiency vehicles produced by Perodua and Proton as they consume lesser fuel with lower cost of maintenance. People are shifting on these brands makes the sales grow despite increase in fuel prices. Besides, people are downgrading their cars for good that now they can travel with lower cost of fuel.
This situation however benefits the researchers and inventors to produce another fuel efficiency vehicles to offset the rising of fuel prices. People demand more on the Malaysian cars that may give advantage to us the small car producer in Asia. We are actually able to penetrate the international market with our fuel efficiency vehicles with a lot of improvement on engine and car parts. By upgrading our national car into one that able to commercialize out of this nation may bring big income for us. Proton and Perodua actually can face this problem of rising in cost of everything positively.
If Malaysia can produce demanded cars to the other nations, this may increase the flow of money into our current account that may lead to increase in growth domestic product. The new average selling price of local cement is now in the range from RM 273 to RM 277 per tonne together with others in Asia- Pacific. Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd said to increase the prices of its cement products to RM 20 per tonne that may drive other large players in cement industry to imitate Lafarge’s action in order to capture with the 26% hike in electricity tariff and 63% jump in diesel prices. This increase in price is influenced by the major source of energy for cement operators, coal. It is also estimated that every 20% increase in price of cement will shock up the property development cost by 2%. Higher operational cost may urge the companies to raise their selling price and bring delay to construction projects and low growth in the property sector on the long-term outlook. The cement price is expected to rise again with increase in price of raw materials and fuel.
My opinion:
Cement is the major raw material in construction and property market. It constitutes about 50% of raw material costs or about 20% of total construction cost in Malaysia. However, price of cement is expected to make no pressure to the demand during this lower growth in property market. China, the largest cement consumer nevertheless will get the impact on the long- term when it demands on 44% of total world cement production. The construction side is driven slow, yet healthy in China leads to demand for cement on longer term that may as well lead to increase in price of cement.
Producing cement however brings positive impact to the economy as it may create employment and business opportunities for local people especially in rural areas. On the other hand, cement industry may bring to unhealthy environment when it causes landslide, dust and noise, disruption to local biodiversity from quarrying the coal for cement.

My summary:

This Group Managing Director, Lim Han Weng announced that the company will invest RM6mil to add 20 to 30 new trucks to its existing 350-unit fleet next year. They will purchase European-made trucks as those trucks are more fuel efficient compared to Japanese trucks. Although the European trucks are more expensive, it is worth it as they are more economical and able to help the Group to provide better services to existing clients and attract new clients. This action is done as fuel contains between 30 to 40% of company’s operating cost and it is important to have high-quality trucks to extend the lifespan of the trucks and get good prices when disposed of. Besides, they also hired 200 trucks from smaller transporters.

My opinion:
In my point of view, I agree with the action taken by Yinson Holding Bhd as one of the transport and logistic provider in Malaysia. They need to have new trucks to ensure the efficiency towards conducting the transportation activities. With hike in fuel price, this may help the company to face valuable maintenance cost of the trucks and get economical fuel cost.
European trucks are more fuel efficient compared to Japanese and other trucks. They are economical, well-maintained and can get good price when disposed of. Thus, the transportation providers are advised to investigate the right transport needed to achieve the lowest attainable cost of doing business.
With lower cost of production and transportation, the business firms will be able to sell the commodities in affordable price and gain benefit from that. This will help to generate the economy of nation and increase back the purchasing power among middle income people.

My summary:
This article illustrates that 10 boats and 12 engines were awarded to fishermen in Tanjung Sedil by Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) , Tunku Ibrahim Ismail. The facilities are to ease the fishermen and took them out of the poverty. The fishermen are so grateful that they can use those boats and engines to go the the sea and get more fish then before.
This ensure them to raise more income in order to survive out of the poverty line. Besides, Tunku Ibrahim had given 30 bicycles for pupils studying in that area.

My opinion:
Tunku Ibrahim Ismail has done the right thing towards his citizens by easing up their life and helping them to gain more income. Fishermen are among those who are unable and do not afford to cope with the rising price of everything. Living in poverty takes them long to raise more income unless they have the attempts to do so. They are depending on sea and the condition. No rain means yes to fish. Rain means no to fish. Their job requires hardship and time. It takes long time for them to get any fish if they are just fishing in the seashore. Thus, they need the accomodations to go to the sea and gain more of what they need. With the facilities given by Tun Mahkota Johor (TMJ), fishermen are hoped to be able to bring back bulks of fish and sell it fresh to gain more income. If the fishermen are equipped with all the technologies and facilities, this enables Malaysia to export fish and become the wholesale seafood producer in the world together with Canada, Fiji, China and Latin America.

Malaysian economy is seems to experience a downfall every 10 years. The two reasons of the situation are that either it happens coincidentally or attempts by “unseen hands” as to sabotage the economy. The last economy attacked was in 1998 happenned after the growing of the economy, during the 10-year period. To encounter any possibilities, Government implements several approaches that are flexible and effective in managing the economy.
My Opinion:
History repeats itself. Economists and other analysts have come out with the assumption of business cycle that there will be a continuous up after down in economy. This helps the speculator to anticipate any changes and situations that may happen in the future. In addition, the assumption helps them to buy the shares now in lower price and sell after the price rebound higher to gain profits.
Corresponding to that, individuals are hoped to prepared for any future instability in the economy. The accurate number of years is unpredictable and it may come without any absolute hints and causes. In fact it is so complex and vary to people in estimating the real years. However, individuals who are really concern on up and downfall of the economy may find a little true in this assumption. Currency, interest rate, job availability, political condition and economy stability are among the elements to measure the situation of 10-years business cycle that happens currently.

Abah is very strict. no more or less,, when i was still studying, he allowed me to watch tv only on weekend. After years being a player, he became a coach 4 other footballers,, above all he's so into football. i remember he watched lots of football match on tv at night n scream for each goal,, time tu aku slalu terjaga,, haih.

The Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) is holding off to 3.5% in order to restraint the rising of prices and inflation rate. This rate has remained since April 2006 and among the lowest in Asia together with Hong Kong and Thailand. Bank Negara expected that average inflation may remain to be in the range of 5.5 % to 8% for 2008 as it rose in the second half of the year and into early next year before moderating towards the middle of 2009. This is response to higher consumer price index (CPI) of 7.7% in June after Government raised petrol and diesel prices by 41% and 63% correspondingly. This is central bank roles to response on the high inflation rate that lead to economic slowdown. Higher inflation rate was not demand driven but it happens as price adjustment in fuel and electricity prices. Besides, the higher inflation rate is afraid to drive nation economy into unemployment rate. Thus, a constant OPR is hoped to generate the economic growth when property, business and financial sectors are working steadily.
Opinion:
This has become good news for business and citizens during this economic and political instability in Malaysia. The remained of OPR can help to maintain the interest rate as this becomes the opportunities for business firms and other sectors to grow soundly. This helps the base lending rate to remain low and encourage entrepreneur to make loans for developing any business.
Low interest rate for loans is helpful for businesses that face any economics and financial constraint to fill any insufficient fund to drive the business well. Government has proved that they are concern in ensuring the welfare and live of business sectors in Malaysia. Furthermore, Government with the collaboration of Bank Negara has made a worthwhile effort by remaining the rate of OPR to benefit citizens as a whole.
Lower interest rate is very helpful during this hike in price of about anything. If entrepreneurs are giving a chance to make loans, they can use this money in order to cover the transportation and cost of production that are increasing tremendously. During this instability of oil prices, we need to be aware of our domestic firms for them to keep on going in the local and international markets. Good condition of local entrepreneurs’ business may reduce the unemployment rate as they afford to provide a lot of vacancies in various angles of job. Thus, a lot of people are being employed and they are paid to their works and jobs. This enables them to purchase any goods and services available in the market besides helping the other business sectors to gain benefits. Service and trading, property, transportation, shipping and other sectors are hoped to cultivate with this constant of OPR.

Second Finance Minister, Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said that government predicts that inflation rate is expected to be 7% this month but it will not exceed 5 % for the year. This is the consequences of recent hike in fuel price and higher commodity prices. The inflation was derived by cost- push rather than demand pressures. On July, Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz said the consumer price index in June is expected to exceed 6% as the adjustment to petrol and diesel prices by 40.6% and 63.3 % respectively. It is also stated that nation GDP was growing at rate of 5% this year. First quarter experienced a higher GDP of 7.1% due to robust domestic demand. With strong economic fundamentals, government is confident that Malaysia will be able to achieve a respectable GDP growth.

On 22nd July, the inflation rate are announced to be around 7%, however the latest new rate was 7.7% on 23rd July 2008. It had jumped to 26 years-high that force the government to increase the interest rate on 25th July 2008. Higher inflation rate may harm the economic as it leads to increase in price of other goods and services, increase in cost of living, lowering the purchasing power and increasing the unemployment rate. These are all burdening the citizens. People are complaining on the government way of leading the nation as they care less on solving the present economic and financial crisis due to increase in price of oil. DPM Datuk Seri Najib claimed that all ministry senior officials and states government excos must use national car instead of foreign vehicles. He said that he is using national cars so as the Prime Minister in commenting on Terengganu Menteri Besar, Datuk Ahmad Said that still with the decision on buying 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressor to replace the previous car, Proton Perdana V6. Datuk Ahmad Said said that the car maintenance is cheaper and would save on fuel costs compared to older Proton Perdana V6. Besides, the market price is high if it is selling as the second hand car.

Despite government puzzle on solving the high price of oil, Terengganu state government are burdening the situation with a purchased of 14 new Mercedes- Benz E200 Kompressors worth RM 3.43 million for its state exco members and senior offices. This is just a wastage of public funds for the benefit of several individuals that should actually think of reserving the money into helping the welfare of people in their state. The people are still in poverty and need government attentions and motivations, however government is demanding more on maintaining their status and for their own goods. If they really want to shift the car in a good one, why shouldn’t that be from Malaysian Producer? Proton actually has come out with various numbers of cars that are reliable. Perdana V6 is good even it often has gearbox and window problem.
However, the government should always support our national cars and consume them regardless any negative sides. As the nation role model, government should show the support on national car as this will encourage the citizen to consume the local cars.

Cabbies still want higher fares despite fuel subsidy.

All taxis are able to buy unleaded petrol up to 720 liters a month after applying for fleet card from Domestic trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry from this 27th July 2008 onwards. However, the price at RM 1.92 per liter isn’t much helpful. They have been applying for an increase in initial fare charge to RM3 from RM2 previously. This application is made since last year due to rising cost of living not because of the fuel price hike. RM 1 increase in fare charge could help the drivers who take 10 passengers a day by RM10 to gain extra income. They still want to propose on the raise in initial fare charge despite petrol subsidy for taxis. Most taxi drivers in the cities are using NGV and diesel. They also insist on government to increase subsidies for diesel-run taxis. However, former taxi company operator recommended that government should give subsidies on vehicles purchased on commercial instead.

Opinion:
I am not with taxi drivers totally. They are demanding more than enough. The government has put an attempt to ease the burden on taxi drivers, by giving fleet card to get subsidized fuel price. They will be getting the old price of oil, RM 1.92 per liter. This is grateful when all other fuel consumers need to bare with the high price of RM 2.70 per liter. True government is in its way of improving the public transport facilities, yet this effort is not a point for taxi drivers to take any advantages. Taxi drivers can get the benefit from government only if they are able to erase any bad behaviours, charge using their meters, drive carefully, serves customers with warm smile and comfortable seats.
Due to my observations, taxi drivers are well-known with their bad driving behaviour. They love to cut queues and change lanes carelessly. They seldom make signal, driving too fast or too slow and feel no guilty if they cause a traffic jam. Besides, some of them just refuse to take any passengers if they don’t feel like going to the destination. Is that fair for government to support them?
The car condition is bad; the seats are sometimes wet and dirty. The drivers who smoke will cause a very uneasy smell to the car. Sometimes the drivers are behaving badly to passengers especially ladies makes them afraid to have any taxi ride especially at night. I know we can’t simply blame on all of the cabbies but if they can’t unite to shape a whole positive group of taxi drivers zero benefits for them.

find alternative for fuels- encourage our local scientice on doing research n development on inventing new tech using nuclear power(ceh2) bio-fuel, liquid nitrogen, renewable energy basics ie; heat& light of sun n movement of water n wind
use hybrid tech vehicles so we can just use our car with rechargeable batt.thus can help reduction in gas emission n fuel consumption =p

Yes, like everybody is talking n thinking on this topic of oil price hike. even last chat with Kamil also talk about this issue. why is it an issue?why this thing of oil is really disturbing our life this days? even engineering ppl of Kamil (haha) is troubling me on lots of oil price question like im Anwar, Badawi or sumbody dlm Parliment haha. so maybe this lame student of Nadiah (who just register last month for voting =p) has some lil foods to clear the air of OIL. another OIL. OIL. OIL. price. inflation. speculation. war.politic.back to OIL again. again, im just a lame one talking nothing.

oil price was keeping on increasing like sharply these last 3 years. oke $60 by 2005, $75 in mid of 2006, fall to $60 by early 2007, rise to $99.29 on dec07. On feb 2008, peaked at $103.05, $110.20 march, 08 and touched $141.71 on june 08. (lucky i dun drive) the most recent price per barrel i get is $147.02 reached on july 11, 08. n run2 around these figure. most of the analyst expect it will increase to $200 hu, no way!( thinking of car pooling or pub transporting?) ehe

This hike in price of oil might drive from several causes of demand and supply, financial causes, subsidies, wars, unstable political circumstances (maybe) =p

in terms of demand, oil-importing countries like India, China and Indon are growing n developing in several industries. yes, they are having an increase in their economic growth. India close to 10%, and China more then 10% of GDP growth.thus, they consume lots of oil for their industries, mostly from transportation sector.this lead to increase in world oil price.

Besides, government reduce or somehow remove the subsidies for consumers in most nations as it (the subsidies) become cost to government.

On supply side, limited amount of fossil fuel has become the prob as the remaining accessible supply is consumed more rapidly each year. however, Arab countries have already increase the supply of this oil n we dun really like having shortage of oil. but maybe round2 ada jugak prob comes from supply side. (kot , im lame again haha!)

On the financial side, the very first thing is maybe cause of the financial speculation that when world speculators are forecasting on hike price of oil in the future n buy more now afraid of another price increase. it results to increase in oil prices coz they demand more n price increase then,,

US dollar value r no more strong these current days. n we all know world economics are depending on the value of State's currency. As price of oil is closely tied to the value of US dollar, (as it is traded in US dollar) we can't help but see it climbing up with the weaker USD thing (!)

Selain itu, ada lagi beberapa cicumstances that affect oil price such as labor strikes, hurricane threats to oil platforms, fires and terrorist threats at refineries and other probs.

Besides, Beby is a sprinter,, but well, u can't fight me ngehe,,, she took part in sp0rts n currently, handball to represent her school, Sekolah Menengah Sultan Ismail, JB. Beby need to stay at hostel these days as mum n dad not able to send n fetch her after school,, sian Beby,, takpe, duk hostel bole study,kan?kan? hehe. mesti Bali ngn separow rindu,,
what i hope from her is, she'll be a very good sister, daughter n student,,

NIPS is a chocolate coated peanut.NIPS should be in my blog as it influenced alot towards the desire of being a good student. mungkin sebab Josepin suke NIPS.hehe. dan NIPS mengubah keadaan perut saya dari lapar kepada kurang lapar. jika perut kurang lapar, otak makin boleh berfungsi. Ceteris paribus, 1 unit of NIPS will increase Nadiah's brain speed by 10 Mbps, while other variables remain constant. NIPS hanyala coklat biasa berinti peanut. NIPS kelihatan menarik lebih2 lagi untuk bayi2 kerana warna nya terang dan bentuk bulat2 comel. NIPS mmg masih mampu dibeli oleh semua golongan. low income, high income and medium. yet i dont know which group im in cause now im restricting a single side of my brain to depend so much on NIPS due to several reasons i'll state below:

1-not anymore NIPS

rm1.90 di koperasi Kenanga

rm2.00 di kedai mamak
rm1.45 di Cold Storage

- saya tidak setuju dengan price fluctuation yg bermacam ragam. jika rm 1.45 di cold storage tapi RM1.90 di koop, saya yakin pengedar2 NIPS telah memanipulasikan saya yg selalu beli NIPS dengan memain2kan harga NIPS di tempat2 yg berbeza. Jika satu hari nanti harga NIPS ditetapkan pada kadar yg paling rendah, saya akan consider utk membelinya semula. Mungkin hari ini hari terakhir saya dan NIPS. (terus simpan baki NIPS dalam laci, takut abis) =p

2- NIPS contains coloring substance that may harm my body. true. tiada explaination kerana sy tidak mampu berfikir. NIPS kini di dalam laci. tapi traditionally, ppl might say that those colouring will remain in our body n melekat di dinding2 saluran darah dan dinding perut, jika betul. ini akan menyebabkan saluran tersebut tersumbat dan oksigen tidak smpai ke seluruh badan dan otak dengan sempurna.

3- Tiada faedah saya membeli NIPS selalu. Baik beli buah.

one thing i realize of being a student, whether im in diploma or degree, challenge is the major element i face with passion and patient. ( not really but sort of) non of us often discover that this challenge is vital in shaping a human with integrity, courage and determination in persuing futher life. What we usually view on the obstacles are negative. tired, lazy, bah ,, so banyak nye kerja kena buat,, nanti2 la n sorts,,,

some may come out with dull things, imitation and very bad work,,some may produce good work, pure and tidy.

All and all pictures how we accept the challenge and how we lead our work whether in the right order or not. In shorts, the quality of the work u produced illustrates how u are. how u want to make it and how far u want ur life path to go.

i want to touch on something i thought this very recent days. we, students,, all of us are facing pile and pile of works,, assignments, tests, quizes, presentations, projects and research. time2 ni jugak la programs and activities dkt fact and college berjalan dgn meriahnye,,,

everyone is busy with their works and sorts. while everybody is busy, thre's a few who takes a chance to manipulate their work. i might not able to express it in a way that u can understand(if there's any readers) but what i want to say is, not all of us are organizing our work with integrity and courage.

yes, we try hard to make everything pure and correct in our way (n wat lecturer want). however, there's a few who always want to take advantage of their friends works. copying,,imitating,, n sorts,,, no respect for this kind of thing even if u cud finish ur work earlier than others.

what are those works for, if we keep on imitating friends' and come out with unoriginal work?the real target of being a good human as what ur parents, lecturers and family want from u will not be accomplished.

yes, life is about fun. is that so fun and satisfying if imitating is always ur method of doing a work?

im not good, but i like to think about it and wonder whether all my works are blessed and satifying in my own way~
